Field trip

Went to the park, ice rink and bowling center for our school's Senior field trip.
I really want to learn how to ice skate and for the first time that I went in the rink I was screaming and shouting because I don't know how to ice skate...... (shame) thatnks to my patient friends who tried to teach and help me! Haha I eventually learned but not confident enough to go to the center. Haha!

And here's my yummy afternoon lunch that I made this afternoon. I was craving for some coleslaw and salad ! And I don't use any dressing but only ketchup! (weird I know)

Anyways......

I blogged about our online store Preloved and we launched our 1st collection last week. Luckily it was sold out for just a day! Thanks to everyone who liked and shared our page! We'll be launching more collections this December. :-)

Galaxy Hipster Shirt and Sketches

DIY Galaxy Hipster shirt that I made weeks ago. It's hard to find a decent cotton white shirt that is not too thick or thin and not too low on the chest area. Got the white shirt on sale from Zara TRF.

Our "real" classes started this Sunday and we are only 15 in each section. Now we have to deal with Physics, Trigonometry and Advanced Algebra. We can now call ourselves "Seniors". Hahaha! I'll post more next week (hopefully). Anddddd, It's my birth month this September! I'm excited!xx, Chiin

Photowalk x Lookbook x Crepes

This afternoon, me and my friend Nhisse together with Remmi went to a park for a photo walk. We were sweating all over and was so thirsty that we bought a drink from the Vending Machine to drink inside the C.R. (It's Ramadan so we can't drink/eat outside) and to our dismay that the C.R. is locked! So we waited for 7 pm to eat Pancakes and Waffles!

I've been collecting magazines since I was a child, I remember having 100 + copies of W.i.t.c.h. magazine way back when I was still in the Philippines and I'd force my Mom to go to Filbar's just to find the missing issue from my collection. Now, I'm collecting these:

Teen Vouge! The handbook has all sorts of awesome editorials and articles which inspires me. Hihi.

Nylon, I only buy their issues if I like their cover girls I can't afford to buy two magazines monthly. If I did I'd be broke as @!#$. lol

And the book I'm reading at this moment is The Carrie Diaries, I went to our local bookstore to find some new books and this one caught my eye! It looks live the Louis Vuitton monogram bag and I really like the story line! :)

Months ago I was updating my RSS reader on my phone and I saw Polish Police, and it was run by Pam Pastor. ( I used to read her blog before I started blogging because she blogs about travel, havaianas and lomography!)

I read the blogs I follow on my Rss Reader and I learned about nail polishes about her blog! =) From A- england to Essie and to Zoya.

Here's some of the polishes that I own ( though I only wear them if I only have guts haha) I also bought some local brands from the Philippines.

Summer shades!

Currently wearing the Graphite/glittery purple gray from Bobbie. =) Can't wait to try the Shatter nail polish I asked my friend Khai to buy me from US when she had her vacation. And I should keep finding a matte top coat one. =)

I left my heart at Singapore.

A week ago, after our Vacation in Philippines, we had a 1 day and a half stop over at Singapore! Yes, the country which I think is the cleanest I've ever been to( well, clean in the streets and roadways) and the country is also Gum free!! (They banned chewing gum many many years ago.)

We first went to our hotel located at the Northbridge road. After we checked in we ate at a underground restaurant, it's like a bazaar full of restaurants. and checked Raffles city because it's near our place. I nagged my Mom and Dad to go to Bugis street ( which is famous for night shopping) and got some things which I'll bog about later. But we were only there for a few hours because we went there at night and it's near for their shops to close.

After that day, we went to Sentosa, and had a quick breakfast at Bread Talk, I got some cream puffs, which was absolutely delish and a Iced Milo! :D

Then we went to .Candylicious to buy some Tootsie rolls and pops.

After that we went to................

Universal studios! The lines were long even though it's not a weekend but it was moving so yeah. Patience is a virtue!

Then I encountered this ride. At first, I was scared to go all by myself, but I made up my mind because I came a long way just to go to Singapore and why will I not try their rides? So I went there alone :S It took me almost 45 minutes just to be on the ride (the lines were crazy!!). But it was worth it I was screaming the whole time! Haha

After Universal studios, we went to Marina Sky Sands park, where you can see the view of Singapore in a very tall skyscraper. The architecture inside the building is amazing!

Amazing right?!

Idk why It's called Sands Skypark, there's no sand at all in the skypark! Hahaha!

Then we went to Wisma Atria shopping centre, it was the sale season of Singapore and I made sure that I'll drop by at Cotton On, because we don't have it in the Philippines and I wanna check out the store and got some goodies.

Their Nike shirts' esigns were very artsy Idk why we don't have it in our Nike stores!

We wanted to explore the Orchard road and visit some shopping centres but unfortunately it's closing time again! (wth) So we went home.

Outfit post? Heehee. Top from Mango,Shorts from Liberte, Tote bag from Forever 21, Accessories from Rubi (Cotton On).

And for the last day in Singapore, we went to Merlion park, took some photos, grabbed brunch at Raffles City, packed and went to the Airport.

We went to Tagaytay this week and here are some photos from that trip,I used my instax and I took a photo of them while on that place where I took the instax. So in 5 days, I'll be leaving Philippines ( which kinda breaks my heart) but We'll stop over at Singapore for a day before hading back to Abu Dhabi. So I'll blog more (and take more photos) when I get back from my so called vacation.

Hi guys! I'm still here in the Philippines and I'm gonna share some photos of what and where I've been up to lately.

We went to Laguna to visit someone and took these photos, there were so many pineapples in that place! :)

And I went to the thrift shop hoping that I could find some navy/anchor like blazers. But unfortunately I didn't but I got a lace shirt and a maxi skirt with some lace details.

Yesterday, we went to the nearest SM in our place and I dropped by at Book Sale. To my surprise that I found these Cath Kidston book that only costs 40 Php or around 3 Dhs! And I love Floral prints that's why I got the book. It's a great source of inspiration and ideas for designs.

Philippines!

Just got home from Auh 3 days ago! Here's a photo diary of my trip! We passed by at Singapore before going home in the Philippines and all I can say is Changi airport is so huge! But we were only there for two hours so I didn't get the chance to go to the shops (Huuu maybe next time).

Promenade and Pretty blue box

We had our Promenade a few days ago and I swear it was fun! But my prom dress didn't turn out the way I wanted it, why? My original design's colors are mint green and coral pink. But the tailor said that she'll just put the coral pink on the half side and I just agreed and gave her the cloth and color swatches. After a week, when I got it on the prom day. The tailor changed Mint green to Blue green and Coral pink to orange! Imagine my anger on that moment!! I called the tailor and asked why did they use orange, she said that the color swatches that I gave her were orange! It was a major WTF moment, I was crying and was totally pissed off. But I had to accept it because the prom's gonna be at that evening. May karma go back to those people. *le sigh*

Prom, sketches, wishlists, doodles and pumps!

Sorry for not being able to update that much!

Anyways I have some great things to share to you guiseee! First of all, Our prom is in weeks from now! Last week, i've been walking around the streets to find some tailoring and textile shops with reasonable prices. I found one but then my dad called be and said to check out a tailoring shop near his office, so I checked it out. Then the Tailor's sister who also is a tailor that works opposite our building accepts to make dresses! So I gave her my design and the colors and also the type of cloth I want to use. And I can't wait to see what the final product is!

I will not show you guys the design yet ;) But here re some designs that I made!

Sorry if the coloring quality is not that nice/pretty because I only colored them on Photoshop and I don't have that ~*skill*~ in coloring digitally.

Ikea, food and museums.

Yesterday me and my family went to Yas Island's Ikea (which is the biggest Ikea store in the Middle East) and one thing that I love about the new Ikea is their food! They're cheap and delicious! I also got some cloths to make some things (have'nt decided yet)!

Then after that we went to this ( I forgot the name) Museum at Saadiyat Island which feautures the Mesopotamian Civilization (now all of what we discussed in our History subject made sense), It was fascinating that the Arab people first developed the scribes and had civilization. There were no pictures from that exhibition because I wasn't allowed to take photos from it. And they also feautured the Saadiyat Island (a man made island) which was also amazing! They're gonna build new museums and buildings with a very unique architecture! One is the Louvre (which you may be familliar because they also have one in Paris) and the Guggenheim which are both museums. The designs are so fascinating(and I was literally amazed when I saw the models). I wish I could go back to Abu Dhabi when they are already built!

I truly love this quotation!

The reason why it was so windy and our curtain fell when I opened our windows is because there was a sandstorm. As you can see that there were sand blowing over the road.

Accesories are all from Forever 21.

On another note, I applied for a media pass at Dubai Fashion week to cover up the DFW A/W which will happen this month, but sadly, They said that they don't accredit or give access to anyone who is under 18 years old. :( I'll try some other time!

Cheerdance and Film cameras.

It was our Intrams yesterday, I joined the Table Tennis competition because I wanted to try it. (and also, i'm not a sporty person) But they only taught me for one day, I lost. But I wasn't sad. I accepted it and I am willing to learn more! And I also joined the ceerdance which was a major fail for me but still, we won!

Then today, I went to the park for a jog then passed by the souq to buy something that I really want, The Fujifilm Instax. I bought it using my savings! And when I was about to go home, I passed by a cofee shop and ordered some macarons and they gave it to me for free! So I spent my remaining money to buy some cupcakes!

Fail updates x Iceland x Hair color

I know, I know, forgive me for not doing my promise! But here are the reasons why I haven't kept my promise to update!

1. We went to Iceland in Ras Al Khaimah, It was pretty huge! I'm telling you and the rides and slides were so exciting and fun but I didn't swim/slide on the water park. I had my perod that time! -_- ( cons of being a girl)

My Havaianas Metal logo in light green! I was always a Havaianas lover and I was even trying to collect them.(aka me in circa 2007/2008)

The really pretty artificial cherry blossoms (?) and the chalet that was in a construction.

2. We checked in in a hotel in RAK and the internet is only available in the lobby.

Give me that mo- mo et-et give me that crystal-stal-stal. lol

3. I dyed my hair! I've always wanted a light brown hair, and If you ollow me on twitter you might've read on some tweets that I was using lemon (squeeze lemon in a spray bottle, spray it in your hair and stay in the sun for an hour) to lighten my hair, It did work on some ways but the results aren't that seen on my hair. So I dyed it myself, I used Garnier Mocha! I wanted to have the ombre hair but being a noob on hair color, I dyed the top layer of my hair lighter then getting darker on the ends, such a fail lol. But I loved the results!

4. Lost the internet connection at home lol but now it's back!

So hopefully by this week, we'll be having a Chocobrrysmile x Cherrystyled summer photoshoot!

Trends come and go and the new one a has arrived! This Spring/Summer season, here are my top picks from the labels that I love. I know that at this point I can't still buy from these brands but soon! When I can earn my own moolah!

Mulberry SS '11

One is the Mulberry, I first knew the Mulberry through their satchels (and I even bought a look alike of it @Forever 21) But everything in their collection is lovely and romantic. From their color tones of khaki,pastel hues,peach,blue,gray and orange to ochre! The high waisted pants & shorts and the ruffles are very adorable!

Nylon February 2011; Leighton Meester

I am truly in love with Gossip Girl and of course Blair Waldorf and Leighton.So I didn't let the chance pass on having this issue. I saw the Nylon issue on the start of February but I was broke. I went to a book store in Abu Dhabi mall to see if they still have the February issue but they didn't! and then last Wednesday I had the guts to go to Al Wahda mall to see if they still have it. They didn't but I contacted the Customer service to check their other branch if they still have it, and voila! :)

Coral pink is my favorite color for this season! :)

And yesterday after jogging I passed by at the souq and saw this book! I love the movie so I bought the book at a cheap price!

Last Thursday me and Shenna went to th park near our house but we went to the Central souq first to grab some ice creams. After that we went straight to the park and went to the play ground while waiting for our other friends.But I had to go with my family and they were late because the were dismissed late in school.So our photoshoot wasn't completed. Macarons, topshop and other lovely things.

Yesterday we went to Dubai! And got all these things on a lower price! I got the keychain form roxy for free and I am loving the smell of the Elizabeth Arden perfume. It smells so refreshing and there's a spring/summer feeling on it. The purse,ring and keychain are from Accessorize and all of them are only 5 dhs each!

We decided to drop by at Mercato before going home and I went to topshop. I first scanned through the sale racks and saw these very cute lined jeggings! The floral sunnies are so adorable and are perfect for the coming summer!

We also had a mini break at a french bakery, I ordered some macarons and gelatos. <3
